They can grow in a pot forever, and lives indoor and outdoor. In Auckland we have a large plant in a pot for years and it never failed to produce beautiful berries, the plant grows well outdoor around spring to summer. And semi covered on the porch around winter.
This is definitely a must buy plant especially for this upcoming Christmas, and have them next to your other Christmas decorations and it would really stand out!
Will grow up to 1m in height and 0.5m in width. The ultimate height will take between 5 - 8 years to achieve when grown indoors.

Plant Care
- Soil: Prefers moist, well-drained, rich in organic matter soil with a slightly acidic pH.
- Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Reduce watering in the winter.
- Temperature: Ideal in temperatures between 15°C to 25°C. Protect from temperatures below 5°C.
- Light: Thrives in partial shade; too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.
- Fertilising: Use a balanced NPK fertilizer like 10-10-10 every two months during the growing season.
- Pruning: Prune lightly to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove any dead or diseased foliage.
- Mulching: Apply a layer of organic mulch to help retain soil moisture and suppress weeds.
- Pest Control: Look out for common pests such as scale and aphids. Treat with appropriate insecticides as needed.
- Flowering and Fruiting: Produces clusters of pink flowers followed by bright red berries that are attractive but toxic if ingested.
- Potting: Suitable for container growing. Choose a pot with good drainage and room for root growth.
- Feeding Regime: Moderate feeding during the growing season promotes lush foliage and supports flowering and fruiting.
